One true pairing or usually shortened to OTP has become a part of the K-pop world’s culture. OTP is created by fans by pairing members from a band. There are certainly may OTPs that have been created, and some of them are fairly popular amongst fans.
Here is a number of pairs from SM Entertainment,
EunHae Super Junior (Eunhyuk & Donghae)
Being born in the same year has caused these two Super Junior members to become very close friends. Their closeness has caused SM Entertainment to create sub-unit duo, D&E. Their subunit has successfully made OTP fans hysterical. This can been proven from the success in their three Japanese mini albums, and they even had a solo concert.
TaeNy ‘Girls’ Generation’ (Taeyeon & Tiffany)
The friendship between these two beautiful Girls’ Generation members is very popular amongst SM artist lovers. Their closeness can be seen in various situations, both outside or on stage. They do not hesitate to show their close relationship. For instance, Tiffany recently revealed on her Instagram account, where Taeyeon gave her a surprise gift.
“There was a present on my desk when I opened my eyes, so I thought it was santa clause, as expected #taengoo bestfriends make it feel like xmas everyday,” she wrote.
JongKey ‘SHINee’ (Jonghyun & Key)
Although they have one year age gap, it did not affect their close relationship. They are known as the most emotional OTP pair, because the two SHINee members are easily moved to tears.
KryBer ‘f(x)’ (Krystal & Amber)
These two f(x) members are indeed very different from one another. But, who would have expected that they are very close. Amber with her tomboy appearance is a big fan of Krystal who has feminine appearance.
In an interview, Amber even chose Krystal as a woman who is close to being perfect. “Krystal! Because she has elegance that I do not have,” she said, which was immediately responded by Krystal “She cannot be stopped, Amber really likes me,” she said and laughed.
KaiSoo ‘EXO’ (Kai & Kyungsoo)
The Kai and Kyungsoo (D.O) pair is one of OTPs in the agency that is mostly recognized by fans. D.O’s effeminate appearance is in contrast with Kai who often appears sexy on stage. EXO’s leader Suho had revealed that Kai once did not like D.O because of his face and scary gaze.
“I remember during trainee time, Kai once said ‘I don’t want to sit with that hyung’,” he explained, which followed by laughter from other members.
