[LIST] 10 Korean Drama Couples That Need To Be Reunited

Since most K-dramas don't do a second season, we're left with an empty gaping hole where there was once hope and love in our hearts kindled by the on-screen romance by two characters. With the recent reuniting of some K-drama couples, it had us wondering who else we would love to see reunited. Sometimes they didn't have the chance to fully explore their love in the series and others we were only given a glimpse of what the couple would be like. In all cases, we were left wanting more.

1. Park Shin Hye/ Kim Woo Bin - Heirs
Wouldn't you love to see these two reunited where they finally get their happy ending? Heirs led to some serious Second Lead Syndrome with many fans wishing that Cha Eun Sang would choose Choi Young Do over Kim Tan. I'd love to see these two in a drama where she was able to fall in love with him. Coupling Kim Woo Bin's charm and wit with Park Shin Hye's adorable goofiness would make a dream couple.

2. Gong Hyo Jin/ So Ji Sub -The Master's Sun
Their chemistry both on and off the screen had many fans thinking these two would end up together in real life. When Gong Hyo Jin was confirmed to be dating someone else, it felt shocking. The chemistry between theses two stars needs to be explored again in another drama.

3. Kim Bum/ Kim So Eun - Boys Over Flowers
Boys Over Flowers did so many things right, and one of those things was the tension in the relationship between So Yi Jung and and Chu Ga Eul. They managed to help us feel every emotion from sad to frustrated to happy, only to crush us all into despair again. Many of us would love to see this couple have another shot at romance.

4. Lee Pil Mo/ Lee Yoo Bi - Pinocchio
The romance between Captain Hwang and Yoon Yoo Rae was so entertaining to watch. Although we only got to see small snippets of it towards the end of the show, it had us clamoring for more. Cap Hwang's protectiveness of her and obvious affection for her silly and cute antics were so sweet. Her confusion, trying to figure out if she was crazy or whether he did show a little bit of affection towards her, was so fun. The dynamic between the two is great and worth writing a whole show around.

5. Ha Ji Won/ Hyun Bin - Secret Garden
Who didn't love these two together? Hyun Bin especially bloomed as a fantastic comedic actor inSecret Garden, but more than that, the chemistry between the two was undeniable. They need to be reunited in roles that can allow them to show off their comedic skills but giving Hyun Bin a character that isn't quite so awful and unkind.

6. Joo Won/Choi Kang Hee- Level 7 Civil Servant
Although in real life Choi Kang Hee made it achingly clear that she has no romantic feelings towards Joo Won in the least, on the show their romance appeared so genuine. It would be really interesting to see these two paired up together in a dramatic series that was full of tension between the two, making us ache for those kisses until the end.

7. Kang Min Hyuk/ Krystal Jung - Heirs
Lee Bo Na and Yoon Chang Young were the cutest couple to ever grace the K-drama screen. Their jealous games were adorable and hilarious to watch, which is saying a lot since those scenes can sometimes come across as very uncomfortable and annoying. Their temperaments suited each other very well, and I'd love to see them playing lead roles opposite each other.

8. Lee Seung Gi/Han Hyo Joo - Shining Inheritance
The slow build-up in the romance between Go Eun Sung and Sun Woo Hwan kept us on the edge of our seat for most of the series. They peppered in enough delightful moments between the two to keep us hoping for more and giddy at the tiniest hint of a romantic moment. I'd love to see them reenacting the tension and wonderful chemistry with a different set of characters.

9. Kim Sun Ah/ Cha Seung Won - City Hall
Both of these actors are masters of their craft. I love seeing their range and versatility that comes to each of the roles they portray. Being able to see two actors of their caliber acting side by side was incredible, and it showed in their on-screen chemistry. They bring a maturity and depth to their characters that helps us invest even more in the love story being told.

10. Lee Min Ho/ Yoon Eun Hye - Personal Taste
Both Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Min Ho shine as actors when playing roles that allow them to be both sweet and goofy alongside more complicated and raw emotions. Although we only got to see them onscreen very briefly in Personal Taste, it showed us what a fantastic pairing the two would make, especially if they could be given roles alongside each other that showed off the full range of emotions from happiness to deep and bitter despair.

[LIST] 6 Korean Drama Friends and Sidekicks

Most K-dramas focus on the main couple or OTP, but does anyone ever think about their awesome sidekicks and best friends that accompany them through the ups and downs of their dramatic relationships? Let’s take a look (and appreciate) some of our favorite BFFs and sidekicks!

The Loyal Secretary
In Blade Man, Secretary Ko Ja Kyung is the most loyal assistant/bodyguard/babysitter/friend Joo Hong Bin (Lee Dong Wook) could ever have. Look at that smile when Hong Bin tells him he wants some alone time with Son Se Dong (Shin Se Kyung).

The Bickering Trio
Lee Bo Na (Krystal), Choi Young Do (Kim Woo Bin), and Jo Myung Soo (Hyungsik). They were true friends who bickered, but always had each other’s back when needed. Not to mention, we always got some interesting conversations.

The Cupid
Our OTP in All About My Romance didn’t get together on their own, they had help from Kim Soo Young’s (Shin Ha Kyun) trusty aide Maeng Joo Ho (Jang Gwang), who provided things from advice to inserting himself if needed to get our couple together.

The Best Friend Who Is Also In Love
One thing we enjoyed about My Spring Day was Lee Bom Yi’s (Sooyoung) friendship with Joo Se Na (Ga Deuk Hi), who was always by her side and one of her top supporters. What was so great about Se Na was that she wasn’t just a friend of Kang Dong Ha (Kam Woo Sung) and Bom Yi, she had her own relationship with Dong Ha’s secretary, Park Hyung Woo (Lee Jae Won)

The Friend Who Keeps A Secret
In Surplus Princess, it was important for Ha Ni (Jo Bo Ah) to keep her identity a secret. Her roommate Kim Hye Young (Kim Seul Gi) accidentally finds out she’s a mermaid, and instantly thinks she’s her dearly departed goldfish. After a while, Hye Young became a confidant and very good friend to Ha Ni.

The Hometown Bestie
In Bride of the Century, Na Doo Rim (Yang Jin Sung) was paid to act like Jang Yi Kyung (also Yang Jin Sung), her doppelganger, and along the way she fell in love with Yi Kyung’s fiance, Choi Kang Joo (Hongki). Her best friend from her hometown, Oh Jin Joo (Park Jin Joo) was beside her every step of the way while also keeping her secret.

[LIST] 10 School Uniforms That Make You Wish You Were A Student In Korea

Summer has come to an end and another year of school has begun. While we're all sad to see the summer months end, here are 10 uniforms that should help get you excited about school! Don't you wish you were required to wear one of these cute outfits on a daily basis?

1. Heirs

If Heirs taught me anything, it's that a uniform isn't complete without some stylish accessories. Shiny backpacks, fancy handbags, and even interesting silver tie-necklaces are essential to complete the high-class Korean student look!

2. Boys Over Flowers

Speaking of high-class, the uniform from Boys Over Flowers also fits perfectly into this category. If you needed another reason to want to be Geum Jan Di (other then falling in love with Gu Jun Pyo), just take a look at her fashionable uniform!

3. Dream High

Dream High's uniform has more of a casual, relaxed feel. I just love the bow ties on the girls! Watch an adorable guardian angel who suddenly becomes human survive the perils of high school and first love in High School-Love On

4. Flower Boy Ramen Shop

The combination of Jung Il Woo and this uniform makes my knees go weak. Why don't all high school boys look this good?

5. Monstar

I'm not too sure how I feel about the half tie on the girls, but I do like the patterned collar!

6. Goong

While I wouldn't say no to wearing some of the more traditional Korean royal attire from this show, the regular school uniforms are also really cute!

7. Sungkyunkwan Scandal

Ok, this one isn't your typical school uniform, but this show certainly made me wish I could attend Sungkyunkwan University and wear these stylish robes alongside the Joseon F4! You know, they say that fashion always repeats itself. Maybe one day we'll see a resurgence of these awesome hats and long, flowing sleeves!

8. High School Love On

Adorable is the #1 word that comes to mind when I look at this uniform. Now I want a tan blazer!

9. To The Beautiful You

I love the color coordination on this one! Perfection.

10. School 2013

Last but not least is the uniform worn by the epic bromance pairing of Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin. The skinny khakis and high-collared jackets are almost as perfect of a match as these famous actors themselves!

[LIST] 7 Best Asian Drama Bromances

One thing that we thoroughly enjoy about watching dramas is the bromance, a term used to describe endearing friendships (or sometimes angst-ridden relationships) between two male friends. In our favorite bromances, the characters have known each other for years, have gone through thick and thin together, and tease and joke with each other like theres no tomorrow. They might fight, but once the fight is over, their friendship stronger and closer than ever.

Two Fathers — Xiang Xi and Zhen Hua
In the 2012 Taiwanese drama “Two Fathers,” Tang Xiang Xi (played by Yang Leroy) and Wen Zhen Hua (played by Lin You Wei) are two straight bachelors who raise a baby girl together because they don’t know which one is the girls father (from a past girlfriend). Although they aren’t in a relationship, the men act like a mom and dad (e.g., Zhen Hua tying Xiang Xi’s tie for him), which makes for a pretty entertaining bromance.

Reply 1997 — Kang Joon Hee and Yoon Yoon Jae
In the successful 2012 Korean drama “Reply 1997, the friendship between Yoon Yoon Jae (played by Seo In Guk) and Kang Joon Hee (Hoya) was a bittersweet one. The two were always there for each other and had a great friendship, but it broke our hearts watching the gay Joon Hee pine over Yoon Jae, who would never return his feelings.

A Gentleman’s Dignity — Im Tae San  and Kim Do Jin
In the 2012 Korean drama “A Gentleman’s Dignity, we witness an impressive decades-long friendship among four grown men who still act like boys when they’re all together. Best friends Kim Do Jin (played by Jang Dong Gun) and Im Tae San (played by Kim Soo Roo) are like oil and water: Their opposite personalities often lead to fights, but at the end of the day, they cant live without each other.

Shut Up! Flower Boy Band — Yoo Byung Hee and Kwon Ji Hyuk
In the 2012 Korean drama “Shut Up! Flower Boy Band, the bromance between bandmates Yoo Byun Hee (played by Lee Min Ki) and Kwon Ji Hyuk (Sung Joon) lasted only for a short time. But even within that short time period, we could clearly see the close bond between the eccentric, charismatic band leader Byung Hee and his best friend, Ji Hyuk, who share a common bond with music and family situations. And even when Byung Hee isn’t around anymore, his memory continues to inspire his friends to take their band, Eye Candy, as far as they can go.

Bridal Mask — Lee Kang To and Shimura Shunji
In the 2012 Korean drama “Bridal Mask, we witness the most tragic bromance between Lee Kang To (played by Joo Won) and Shimura Shunji (played by Park Ki Woong). Kang To and Shunji were unlikely friends who were nevertheless able to forge a strong bond. Family and political issues caused them to turn from best friends into mortal enemies.

You’re Beautiful — Kwang Tae Kyung, Kang Shin Woo and Jeremy
It’s hard not to enjoy the awesome, silly bromance between the bandmates of A.N.Jell in the very entertaining 2009 Korean drama “You’re Beautiful.  When you put together the moody band leader Hwang Tae Kyung (played by Jang Geun Suk), the soft-spoken romantic Kang Shin Woo (played by Kang Shin Woo), and the adorably silly Jeremy (played by Lee Hong Ki), there was bound to be some priceless moments  such as their ramen dance and their reenactment of a scene from a fanfiction!

Heirs — Choi Young Do and Jo Myung Soo
The popular 2013 Korean drama “Heirs” was full of bromances. The lead bromance was between best friends-turned-rivals Kim Tan (played by Lee Min Ho) and Choi Young Do (played by Kim Woo Bin), who spend the majority of the drama fighting over the same girl. But the far more entertaining bromance is between Young Do and the comical Jo Myung Soo (played by Park Hyung Sik). Although Myung Soo is a bit clueless, he’s very cute, loyal, and the only real friend that Young Do really has.

[LIST] Top 9 Korean Dramas with Highest Ratings in 2013

In the end-of-the-year round-ups, there have been many votes cast for best drama. Both critics and fans have had their say. But when it comes to just ratings, the weekend dramas came out way ahead. Whether this has to do with the fact that some Korean viewers only watch dramas on the weekend or the longer-running weekend dramas attract a more loyal audience, it's hard to say, but they did earn a higher percentage of ratings than the weekday shows.

In first place for 2013 was the KBS 2TV drama "My Daughter Seo Young. " It was the drama with the highest viewer ratings this year, according to Nielsen Korea, earning average ratings of 40.7 percent between Sept. 2012 and March 2013. The 50-episode drama, starring Lee Bo Young, Lee Sang Yoon, Park Hae Jin and Chun Ho Jin, focused on the broken relationship between Seo Young and her father.

The weekend dramas "The Wang Family" and "Cheer Up Mr. Kim" tied for second place with ratings of 28.5 percent. The Wang Family, which included Jang Yong, Kim Hae Sook, Oh Hyun Kyung and Jo Sung Ha among its huge cast, focused on the problems of a family's successive generations.  "Cheer Up Mr. Kim," starring Yang Jin Woo, Choi Jung Yoon, Wang Ji Hye and Kim Dong Wan, told the story of a man who worked as a housekeeper to support his four children.

Among the weekday dramas, the top winner is the Korean-American co-production "The Heirs," which started out slow but reached 25.6 percent in the ratings, with an overall average of 16.7 percent. The drama's stars Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye and Kim Woo Bin attracted a large and loyal fan base.

Next up was the paranormal courtroom drama "I Hear Your Voice," starring Lee Bo Young, Yoon Sang Hyun and Lee Jong Suk. The drama reached 24.1 percent in the ratings with an overall average of 18.8 percent.

Next came "The Master's Sun," starring So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin. The love story between a woman who sees ghosts and the man who can make them go away reached 21.8 percent of the viewers with an average of 17.2 percent.

"Good Doctor," starring Joo Won and Moon Chae Won reached 21.5 percent with an overall average of 18.8 percent.

The fantasy saeguk "Gu Family Book," starring Lee Seung Gi and Suzy, reached 19.1 percent of the viewers and averaged 16.1 percent.

A few more dramas also deserve honorable mention. "Secrets," also known as "Secret Love," earned 18.9 percent but only averaged 12.7 percent. It starred Ji Sung, Hwang Jung Eum and Bae Soo Bin.

The winner of the Kdramastars poll for best drama, "Missing You," reached 17.9 percent, with an average of 10 percent. The drama starred Park Yoochun and Yoon Eun Hye.

And the year ended on a promising note for two new dramas. The 50-episode weekday historical drama "Empress Ki," which began in October, reached ratings of 20.2 percent by its 13th episode. Also "You Who Came From The Stars" broke 20 percent in its first few episodes.
